As a founding partner at LightGabler LLP, Jon consults with over 300 companies throughout California regarding their day-to-day employment law needs. His clients include publicly traded international corporations and companies in such diverse industries as computers, telecommunications, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, insurance, retail, restaurants and medicine.</p>
<p>Jon has successful jury trial, court trial, Labor Commission and binding arbitration results in lawsuits and administrative claims involving wrongful termination, sexual harassment, race discrimination, wage &amp; hour, and other employment related matters. He has also appeared on behalf of employers with the federal EEOC and Labor Department, the state Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the National Labor Relations Board, and other government agencies involved with employment law issues. Mr. Light frequently speaks to employer and human resources groups, including the Ventura County Employers Advisory Council (EAC), PIHRA, NHRA, and numerous business associations such as CPA groups, Dental Societies and Chambers of Commerce. <p style="text-align: left;">SCORE members are all volunteers &#8211; retired, semi-retired and actively working individuals and they are truly mentors to America&#8217;s small businesses.</p>

<div><span style="color: #000000;">Once the conference is started plenary sessions are offered in creativity, wellness, community, and life transitions.  The conference invites submissions associated with aging and ageism, care giving, civic engagement, community, creativity, dialogue, diversity, entrepreneurship, generativity, global &amp; transcultural contexts, housing, intergenerational issues, lifelong learning, life transitions, public policy, services, spirituality, sustainability, wellness, workplace issues, and work in the second half of life.  </span><span style="color: #000000;">This conference also offers a series of activities called <em>Active Arts</em>.  Designed to facilitate dialogue about creative expression and aging, examples of <em>Active Arts </em>offerings include music, dance, art, and poetry. </span></div>

<p>The American Society for Training &amp; Development will present ASTD TechKnowledge® Conference &amp; Exposition from January 25-27, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Preconference workshops will be held on January 24.</p>
<div id="interstitial"><strong>Keynote speakers</strong> are Jane McGonigal, director of Game Research and Development at Institute for the Future and author of <em>The New York Times</em> bestseller, <em>Reality Is Broken,</em> and Stuart Crabb, head of Learning and Development at Facebook.</div>
