HOW TO LEGALLY HIRE
The objective of this training program will discuss the correct ways to hire employees. Types of
interview questions will be discussed as well as those that are illegal to ask a candidate.
HOW TO WRITE EFECTIVE JOB DESCRIPTIONS
This training is limited to 12 to 15 employees and will discuss the various sections to include in
an effective job description. The reasons why it is important to have a job description and the
importance of being consistent during the interview process.
SEX HARASSMENT AVOIDANCE TRAINING
This training program consists of two hours of mandated interactive training for supervisors at
companies with 50 or more employees. The program includes all aspects of handling
complaints, investigation, legal requirements, policy elements, definitions and case scenarios.
Attendees will receive a certificate upon completion of the training which they can put in their
personnel files.
HOW TO LAWFULLY FIRE EMPLOYEES
This program will give managers and supervisors the skills to properly handle terminating an
employee. The course will cover the importance of documentation and progressive discipline.
It will discuss the employer's right to terminate workers and how this right is limited by laws and
contracts. This is course represents an overview of what a manage can say and what they
should avoid saying to avoid potential liability.
DIVERSITY TRAINING
This course is designed to help employees successfully work together with diverse co-workers
by encouraging respectful behavior, reducing bias, and explaining how cooperation can
overcome conflict. This program will also show that we may have differences but that we are
more alike then you think. The intersectionality of race, class and gender will also be
discussed.
ETHICS AND CODE OF CONDUCT
This training program will discuss the importance of ethics in the workplace. Ethics is not
about answers but about asking questions. Every organization strives to place itself on a
pinnacle whether it be in the product or service that it offers or in how they fundamentally treat
their employees. Ethical organizations will allow their "human resources" to ask very tough and
difficult questions of its leadership. State and federal laws, including Sarbanes-Oxley Act, SEC
regulations, and Federal Sentencing Guidelines, either require or provide incentives to
employers to adopt a Code of Conduct and to provide training on ethical business practices.
These laws seek to ensure an honest and fair marketplace, compliance with laws and
regulations, and personal corporate accountability.
CONDUCTING WORKPLACE INVESTIGATIONS
This training program will discuss the importance of employers taking employee complaints of
harassment, retaliation, and other forms of misconduct seriously and not shrugging them off.
Employers are required by law to investigate these complaints and take remedial action.
Conducting and effective and prompt investigation will help employers to maintain productivity,
employee morale as well as minimizing employee lawsuits. This training will take you through
the steps necessary to conduct a thorough investigation, properly documenting the facts, and
effectively resolving employee complaints.
DUTY TO PREVEVENT WORKPLACE VIOLENCE
This course is designed to give managers the skills they need to recognize and minimize the
threat of workplace violence. It is especially important during these tough economic times to
treat employees with respect and dignity during layoffs or plant closures. It is the responsibility
of organizations to provide a safe workplace for their employees.
UNDERSTANDING CHANGE IN PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS
This program will discuss how organizations are in an ever changing state of flux. It will suggest
that there is no organization that is static or immune from change. Every organization must
respond and adapt to changes that are constantly occurring in order to grow and become
profitable.
